Il libralogo

Two languages, one message: to know.

Wonder and amazement, fantasy and reality are the words that could be the guiding thread of this “Libralogo”, a book-catalog where words and images have grown together, live in inseparable forms, but run parallel.

Legends, myths and history mingle accompanying the reader in the magic of the East, on a journey toward a world colored with mystery and arcane outlines and atmospheres. From the flowery meadows of Monte Baldo that are reflected on Lake Garda unravels the story of a king, Anselmo, who lives the battle then transformed into an encounter - as befits the topoi of fairy tales and legends - with a different culture, that of the " city of the two seas ”, Istanbul, where he falls in love with Princess Yildiz, nicknamed Meral, the Doe.
The myth of Ortnit King of Garda, under whose identity that distant Lombard king Autari is perhaps hiding, thus relives in the imaginative pen of Mauro Neri - a writer dedicated in particular to fiction for children and adolescents - and in refined images, arabesque patterns by the artist Luigi Ballarin. Thanks to the two authors, this folk tale, which has moved away from a real fact over time, detaches itself from belonging to a community to become everyone’s patrimony.
